Peroneus Tertius



- See:
     - Lateral Compartment



- Anatomy:
    - origin: distal 1/3 of the anterior surface of the fibula and adjacent intermuscular septum;
    - insertion: dorsal surface of the base of the 5th metatarsal;
    - action: dorsiflexes and everts the foot at the ankle;
    - nerve supply: peroneal, L4, L5, S1 (see innervation)
    - synergist: extensor digitorum longus;
