- Discussion:
- involves articular surface of the AC joint alone;
- w/ type III frx there is a displacement of articular surface w/o lig injury;
- frx may be subtle, & may be confused w/
1st deg AC separation;
- it may present as late degenerative arthrosis of the AC joint;
- this may lead to osteolysis of distal clavicle;
- resorption of distal clavicle, and may occur from increased vascularity secondary to microfractures;
